Shocking Attack at Morrisons Eastwood: Elderly Man Kicked to the Ground
A terrifying assault unfolded at Morrisons in Eastwood when a man in a grey hoodie and black mask violently kicked an elderly shopper to the floor. The victim, who was simply collecting a basket, was knocked off his feet and crashed heavily to the ground.
Shoppers and Staff Rush to Help
Witnesses – including staff and shoppers – spring into action, checking on the fallen man after the sudden attack. The assailant didn’t stick around long, calmly strolling into the store shortly after before leaving less than a minute later.
Police Hunt Man in Grey Hoodie
PCSO Peter Keeley said: “The elderly man was simply going about his food shop. To have this happen to him is absolutely unacceptable.”
“We’re reviewing CCTV footage and are committed to investigating this incident. We urge anyone who recognises the man or saw what happened to come forward.”
The assault took place at 2:40pm on Monday 29 March 2021. Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101 quoting incident 483 of 1 April 2021.
