Police swooped on eight locations across London, Hampshire, and Berkshire in a massive crackdown. Five suspects—three men and two women, aged 20 to 40—were arrested for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and modern slavery offences.
Weapons and Drugs Seized in Ongoing Searches
The searches are still ongoing, but officers have already uncovered a machete, a rapier sword, and Class B drugs. The investigation launched back in January after detectives uncovered a ruthless network pushing drugs across the southeast via county lines.
Victims Held to Clear Debts, Police Reveal
Evidence shows some individuals were forced to work against their will to pay off debts. The operation saw a whopping 150+ officers from the Metropolitan Police, Hampshire Constabulary, and Thames Valley Police join forces to smash the gang.
The Arrested: Who’s Behind Bars?
- 40-year-old man: Suspected conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs, plus money laundering.
- 24-year-old man: Suspected conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs, and securing services from children and vulnerable people under the Modern Slavery Act 2002.
- 38-year-old man: Same charges as above.
- 37-year-old woman: Same charges as above.
- 20-year-old woman: Same charges as above.
Police vow to continue their crackdown to dismantle this dangerous network and protect vulnerable victims. The investigation remains ongoing.
