Cop Injured in Camden Car Stop: Three Men Charged

Three men face charges after a police officer was hurt during a vehicle stop in Camden. The drama unfolded around 10:25pm on Thursday, 6 May on Lowfield Road, NW6.

Who’s Charged?

  • Jordell Menzies, 24, from Pinner, was hit with dangerous driving, assaulting an emergency worker, driving without insurance, and obstruction charges.
  • Navone McKenzie, 33, from NW6, was charged with breaching a criminal behaviour order.
  • Sylva Kasongo, 26, from N1, was charged with possession of a class B drug.

Menzies and McKenzie appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 8 May, and were bailed until their next hearing on Friday, 16 July. Kasongo was bailed to appear on Friday, 21 May.

One Fled the Scene

During the stop, an officer suffered leg injuries. Meanwhile, police are still hunting for a fourth man who fled towards Hemstal Road, NW6.
