Royal Sovereign Lighthouse Set for Decommissioning
On or around 14th March 2022, the iconic Royal Sovereign Lighthouse will begin its official decommissioning. This marks the start of the end for the famous maritime beacon.
Buoys to Replace the Lighthouse Markings
To keep sailors safe during the dismantling process, four cardinal lighted buoys will be placed around the site. These buoys will mark the structure’s location until it is completely taken down.
