Motorists on the M20 in Kent faced long delays last night after two separate police incidents and a digger fell off a vehicle.
Kent Police and National Highways were called to the scene around 7.15pm between junction 8 and junction 10 over a welfare concern. Another police incident followed just after junction 10 on the London-bound side.

A digger fell off a lorry near Ashford Golf Course, forcing traffic to be held as recovery teams worked to clear the mess. Drivers reported delays of up to 40 minutes.
Two-hour clean-up finally clears the way
The recovery and clean-up took around two hours before all lanes were reopened and traffic released.
