Drug-Fuelled Driver Banned for 3 Years After Speeding and Resisting Cops
Ismail Babatunde, 28, from Kimberley Avenue, London, faced justice at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 14 February 2022. He pleaded guilty to multiple offences linked to a reckless ride on 27 July 2021.
Shock Drug Levels and Speeding on Motorway
When stopped by police, Babatunde’s blood test showed a staggering 363 microgrammes of Benzoylecgonine per litre – over seven times the legal limit of 50 microgrammes. Not only was he speeding on the motorway, but he was also driving without insurance.
Booted Off the Roads and Fined
- Disqualified from driving for 36 months
- £100 fine
- £95 surcharge
- £85 legal costs
He also admitted resisting a constable in the execution of duty, making his case even worse. The court slammed down the punishment to send a clear message: drug driving and road law defiance won’t be tolerated.
