Teen Shot and Stabbed in Shocking SW8 Attack

Police were called at 9:45pm on Friday, 13 May after reports of a man injured in Union Grove, SW8. Emergency teams, including London’s Air Ambulance, found a 19-year-old with shotgun wounds and stab injuries. He was rushed to a London hospital and remains in critical condition.

Family Left Devastated

“This incident has left a loving family totally devastated,” said Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Pearce from Specialist Crime South.

“The victim was just on his way home when he was attacked. He was a hard-working young man with no history of violence. His family is stunned and dismayed that this could happen to him.”

“We are supporting them through this difficult time and urge anyone who can help our investigation to come forward.”

Police Hunt Attackers – Community on Alert

Detective Superintendent Neerav Patel of the Central South Basic Command Unit, covering Lambeth and Southwark, reassured locals:

“This was a shocking incident. We understand the community’s concerns and have increased police patrols in the area. Speak to one of our officers if you have any worries.”

“Our Specialist Crime Command team is working around the clock to catch those responsible. Please contact the police or Crimestoppers with any info – no matter how small.”

“The Met is cracking down hard on gun crime. Firearm discharges are down 37% this year, with over 500 weapons seized. We will not stop until London’s streets are safe again.”
