Drug Dealer Jailed After Exploiting Vulnerable Man’s Home as Essex Drug Den
“Ace” Drug Line Busted in Braintree
Ahmed Ozyoruk, 22, has been locked up for running a ruthless Class A drug operation from a vulnerable man’s house in Braintree. Known as ‘Ace’, Ozyoruk used the property to push heroin and crack cocaine across Essex.
Police officers from Op Raptor North launched the probe in January 2022, targeting the drug line that blasted out bulk messages advertising the illegal stash. They tracked Ozyoruk making more than 200 calls linked to the operation in Essex, London, and Bedfordshire.
Carried Out a Check, Found a Drug Den
Officers grew concerned for the welfare of the tenant, a vulnerable man, after reports he was being exploited. When they checked the address, they found two younger men inside – including Ozyoruk.
A “burner” phone used to run the drug line was discovered and seized. The phone number matched the one linked to Ozyoruk’s call history, cementing the case.
Both men were arrested on suspicion of Class A drug supply. Ozyoruk refused to speak during interviews but later pled guilty to two drug supply charges.
Heavy Sentence for Third-Time Offender
At Chelmsford Crown Court on May 18, Ozyoruk was sentenced to six years and six months behind bars. The second man arrested remains under investigation.
‘Drug Life Doesn’t Pay in Essex’
Detective Constable Jonathan Stephenson of Op Raptor North said:
“This was Ozyoruk’s third strike, and the sentence reflects the seriousness of his crimes. By the time we arrested him, the case against him was so strong, he had no choice but to plead guilty.
We’ve made it clear: drug dealers targeting vulnerable people in Essex won’t get away with it. If you think you can dodge the law, think again. We are building cases against offenders in silence, so when they’re caught, there’s no easy way out.”
