Two Stolen Bikes Taken in Nottingham

Thieves struck twice, stealing bikes on Saturday night (11 June) from Gilead Street, Bulwell, and again on Tuesday at Barker Gate, Nottingham. The quick hit-and-run sparked a police hunt.

Police Make Arrests and Recover Stolen Bike

Acting on a tip-off, officers raided a Bulwell address and recovered one of the stolen bikes. Two men, aged 26 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of theft. Enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Speaks Out on Impact and Police Response

“These kinds of thefts hit victims hard and push up insurance costs for everyone,” said Sergeant Glenford Spencer of Nottinghamshire Police. “The response and firearms officers involved did an outstanding job. I’m glad two suspects are now in custody and a bike has been returned to its rightful owner.”
