Instagram Scam Leaves Woman Out of £1,000
Jayne thought she was chatting with a friend on Instagram. But the account had been hijacked by crooks. They tricked her into investing £1,000 with a flashy promise of £19,000 in return.
More Money Demanded – Plus Her Login Details!
The scammers didn’t stop there. They pressured Jayne to cough up more cash and make a promo video to “claim” her winnings. Then, they made her hand over her Instagram login and password to “prove her identity.”
That’s when the crooks struck again—taking over her account and using her video to target her friends.
