The charges are part of a cross-border drug supply investigation, which is thought to be based in the county’s east.
A number of warrants were served yesterday at addresses in Burnley and Pendle, and four people were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs.
The three individuals charged are:
– Michael Rennie, 38, of Nelson’s Whitehough Place
– Michael Masih, 43, of Nelson’s Waidshouse Road
– Christopher Paul, 33, of Nelson’s Barkerhouse Road
They have all been charged with conspiracy to distribute a Class A controlled substance and conspiracy to distribute a Class B controlled substance. They are scheduled to appear in court today at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court (Thursday, July 28).
A fourth man, 52, from Burnley, was arrested yesterday and remains in custody at this time.
We have recovered significant amounts of cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis as part of the investigation, as well as other drug paraphernalia. We seized mobile phones, cash, and a quantity of drugs during yesterday’s warrants.
DI “Yesterday we made four arrests following warrants at addresses in the east of the county,” said Tom Edmondson of East CID. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to disrupt organised criminal gangs operating in the county. Three people have now been charged, and a fourth man is being held in custody while investigations continue.
“As always, we would like to remind people that we rely on community intelligence about drug dealing and supply, and we continue to urge anyone with information to contact us.”
