Serious E-Bike Crash in Haringey: Man in Hospital as Police Hunt Key Witness

Police were called at 9.34pm on Tuesday, 20 September, after a collision between a car and an e-bicycle on Broad Lane, N15. The driver of the Audi stopped immediately and called emergency services.

Officers arrived alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance (HEMS). The 28-year-old e-bicycle rider suffered serious head injuries and has been in hospital ever since, over two months on, still receiving treatment. Thankfully, his condition is not life-threatening.

Red Hatchback Driver Sought for Vital Info

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit believe the driver of a red-coloured hatchback could hold crucial information. The car was seen turning right from Wakefield Road shortly before the crash at around 9.34pm on September 20.

Detective Constable Sam Rivers said:

“It’s now been 11 weeks since the collision and the e-bike rider remains seriously injured in hospital. We’re still piecing together what happened and urgently need public help. We want to hear from the red-coloured hatchback driver who may have witnessed the crash. The photo we’ve released isn’t perfect but should prompt them to come forward.”

“If anyone else saw the incident or has dashcam footage, please get in touch. No detail is too small – it could be the key to solving this.”

No Arrests Yet – Enquiries Ongoing

So far, no arrests have been made. Police continue their investigation and appeal for witnesses to come forward.
