Russia Bans UK Top Brass in Tit-for-Tat Sanctions
Russia has slammed the door on some of Britain’s biggest political heavyweights. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, and ten other senior UK figures are now banned from entering the country. The move is Moscow’s latest biteback after the UK’s sanctions over the Ukraine conflict.

Moscow’s Message: UK Is Fueling the Ukraine War
“London’s unbridled information and political campaign aimed at isolating Russia internationally, creating conditions for containing our country and strangling the domestic economy” forced the Kremlin’s hand, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said.
It blasted the British government for “deliberately aggravating the situation around Ukraine,” accusing it of arming Kyiv and coordinating NATO’s moves.
More Sanctions, More Strikes
Earlier this week, the UK and US tightened the financial screw on Russia, targeting Putin, top officials, and regime cronies. But Moscow isn’t backing down.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed missile strikes hit the city today. “One person has been killed, and several wounded,” he said. Medics are fighting to save the injured while air defences try to shield the capital from relentless attacks.
Klitschko warned these strikes come after direct threats from Russian generals. “The enemy is ruthless,” he added.
