Man Dead After Violent Stabbing on Isle of Wight
Police were called to a horrific stabbing incident on St Johns Road just after 10pm on Monday, April 25. Officers found two men seriously injured at the scene. A man in his 50s was sadly pronounced dead.
Arrests Made But Two Women Released
Two women, aged 29 and 52, from the Isle of Wight were arrested on suspicion of murder. However, both have now been released without charge. A 36-year-old man, also arrested, remains in hospital with injuries he suffered during the incident.
Police Investigate, Assure Public Safety
Superintendent Jim Pegler said: “The investigation into this remains ongoing. You will see a continued police presence around St Johns Road as enquiries continue.”
“We believe this was an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public. We thank the community for their patience and ask people not to speculate about those involved.”
