Alpacas and sheep killed by dogs near Nettlestead – UKNIP

Officers from Kent Police’s Rural Task Force are looking for information after two incidents involving the deaths of alpacas and sheep near Nettlestead.

Two sheep died and ten sheep were injured in a field near Maidstone Road overnight between August 16 and 17, 2022.

Two alpacas were also attacked and died of their injuries in a field near the first incident during the hours of darkness between August 18 and 19.

‘We are appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation to call our appeal line,’ said Police Sergeant Darren Walshaw.

As part of our investigation, we are looking for the owner of two dogs that resemble dark and light coloured lurchers and have been seen unsupervised in the area.
