Tragedy on Dorien Road: Man Dies After House Fire

Early Morning Blaze Claims Life

Emergency crews rushed to a fire at a Dorien Road home at 3.20am on 1 September. George Redmond, 76, was rushed to hospital with serious smoke inhalation and other injuries. He sadly died on 16 September.

Three Men Arrested Over Deadly Fire

Police swiftly arrested three men linked to the blaze. They have now been charged with a string of offences.

Details of the Charges

  • Wayne Hepburn, 46, – No fixed address. Charged with manslaughter and conspiracy to commit arson with intent.
  • Fraser Dolman, 37, of Richmond Drive. Charged with conspiracy to commit arson, plus supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
  • James Goulding, 26, of Dentons Lane, Dentons Green. Charged with conspiracy to commit arson, and supply of cocaine and heroin.

Next Court Dates

Dolman and Goulding faced Wirral Adult Remand Court today. Hepburn remains in custody, set to appear at the Not Guilty Anticipated Plea Court at Derby Square, Liverpool, on Friday 3 February at 1pm.
