11-Year-Old Girl Fights for Life After Car Crash in Hackney

An 11-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car this evening on Kingsland Road, East London.

Driver Arrested as Road Shut Down

The shocking crash happened at around 6.30pm. Police were called to the scene where the child was struck while crossing the road. The driver was promptly arrested, and Kingsland Road remains closed as investigations continue. Several bus routes have been diverted, causing major disruption.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed: “At 6.30pm, a car collided with an 11-year-old pedestrian on Kingsland Rd E8. The child is in critical condition at the hospital. The driver has been arrested. Road closures are in place.”
