Officers Are Looking For Witnesses And Dashcam Footage After A Teenage Boy Was Repeatedly Punched In The Face During A Robbery In Ashford

The 16-year-old victim was assaulted while walking with friends in a car park on Vicarage Lane.

The incident is said to have occurred between 1.30pm and 1.45pm on Monday, January 23, 2023, when the victim was approached by two male suspects who demanded he remove his coat.

When the boy refused, the suspects allegedly punched him several times before forcibly unzipping his coat and stealing it.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old Ashford man on suspicion of robbery later that day. He is currently out on bail pending the outcome of further investigations.

Police are now eager to hear from anyone who may have information that can help with the investigation. It is believed that the car park was busy at the time, with students travelling to and from the nearby college, and drivers are urged to check their dashcams for any important footage.
