Cop Squad Nab Smith With Stolen Loot
Smith was arrested on January 10. Police searched his house and found numerous stolen items. Victims identified their stolen possessions, leading to Smith being officially charged.
“Smith showed no regard whatsoever for the victims of his burglaries, causing damage to their properties in order to gain access and steal items of value,” said Detective Constable Daniel Priest from Sheffield CID.
“We estimate that the total value of items taken in each burglary was over £60,000 – a substantial sum – and I am pleased that we have been able to return some of the items to their rightful owners.”
