Cannabis Smell Tips Off Starbeck Police to Shocking Find
Police were called last Thursday after a concerned member of the public reported worries about a dog’s welfare at a property in Starbeck.
Officers Sniff Out Drugs, Deadly Weapons
On arrival, officers were hit by a strong smell of cannabis. A search revealed a large kukri-style knife and a telescopic baton. That’s not all.
They also found a big bag of what’s suspected to be a Class B drug, drug scales, and several mobile phones.
Man, 19, Arrested on Multiple Charges
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
“He was interviewed and has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue,” police confirmed.
