Jamie Kennedy from Herne Bay has been slammed for blackmailing children into sending indecent images and sexually assaulting several girls.

Kennedy bombarded underage victims with obscene messages and showered them with gifts to manipulate them. He then threatened to expose screenshots of their chats to the children’s friends and family unless they sent intimate photos.
Arrested After Lengthy Probe, Charged with 123 Offences
Following a complex investigation, Kennedy was arrested on 17 January 2023. He faced charges including rape, sexual assault, inciting children to engage in sexual activity, making and possessing indecent images of children.
At Canterbury Crown Court, Kennedy initially pleaded not guilty to all charges on 9 May 2022. But as the trial unfolded, nine more charges were added—bringing the total to 123 offences. These included multiple counts of sexual assault, indecent assault, and engaging in sexual activity with children.
Kennedy Found Guilty, No Remorse Shown
On 8 September 2023, Kennedy was convicted on all counts. Detective Constable Linda Gavin described him as a “master manipulator” who even pretended to be a teenager to lure victims.
“He subjected his victims to psychological anguish and, in some cases, physical abuse,” DC Gavin said. “Throughout the trial, Kennedy showed no remorse for his abhorrent actions or the lasting impact on the children involved.”
She added: “We are grateful for the bravery of those who supported the prosecution against this sexual predator, and hope his sentence offers some comfort to his victims.”
