Woman’s Body Found on Hunstanton Beach – Police Launch Investigation
Police are probing the mysterious death of a woman after her body was discovered on Hunstanton beach late Friday night, 20 October 2023.
Body Found Near Sea Life Centre
Officers rushed to Seagate Road at around 11.45pm following a call from a member of the public who spotted the grim scene opposite the Sea Life Centre.
A police cordon was quickly put in place as detectives began their initial enquiries. The woman’s body was recovered from the beach shortly after.
Cordon Lifted But Questions Remain
The police cordon was lifted by 10am the next day, Saturday 21 October, but the investigation is far from over.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained,” police said, confirming a post-mortem will determine the exact cause.
So far, officers have not been able to identify the woman. Enquiries are ongoing as detectives work to piece together what happened on Hunstanton’s shore.
