According to the Met Office, showers will continue to affect northern and eastern Scotland and eastern England, with snow expected to fall inland from the Humber northwards. Accumulations of up to 2cm are possible, potentially reaching 5cm over higher ground. In southern areas, snow is more likely to be confined to higher elevations.
A separate yellow weather warning is in effect for areas like Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, and Somerset, starting from 3 am to 4 pm on Thursday. Northern Ireland is also under a yellow warning until 10 am Thursday, with icy conditions predicted.

Daytime temperatures are expected to stay in the single digits, with nights likely remaining below freezing in many parts of England and Scotland.
