Man Murdered on Christmas Day in Wollaton
A murder probe is underway after a 29-year-old man died following an assault in Wollaton.
Christmas Day Horror on Wollaton Road
Emergency crews rushed to Wollaton Road at 8.15pm on Christmas Day. The man was found seriously assaulted and taken to hospital, but sadly he passed away shortly after.
His family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Three Arrested Over Murder
- A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
- Two others, aged 32 and 26, were also held for assisting an offender.
All three remain in police custody as investigations continue.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Out
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Croome from East Midlands Special Operations Unit said:
“This is a tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family as we work hard to understand what happened.”
“We urge anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious to come forward. We’re especially keen to hear from residents and motorists with CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage.”
