In the wake of a tragic house fire in Croydon on Friday, December 29, the police have provided an update regarding the condition of those involved. The incident, which occurred on Sanderstead Road, claimed the lives of three men, and one man remains in a life-threatening condition in the hospital.
Emergency services were swiftly dispatched to the scene of the fire shortly before 11 pm on December 29. Tragically, two men were pronounced dead at the scene, with one of them believed to be in his 40s. A third man, estimated to be in his 30s, was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, December 30.
As of today, January 1, police have confirmed that one man continues to be in a life-threatening condition while receiving medical care. On a more hopeful note, a fifth man who was also taken to the hospital has been discharged following medical evaluation.
