A vehicle fire on the M20 motorway, occurring between Swanley and Wrotham, has caused significant disruptions in the area. The incident was reported on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 1.09 pm.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service swiftly responded to the scene of the fire, which involved a crane lorry on the coastbound carriageway of the M20, situated between Junction 1 (Swanley Interchange) and Junction 2 (Wrotham).

As of 3:45 pm, firefighting operations have been completed. A total of four fire engines and a foam unit participated in the operation to ensure the safety of all motorists and passengers on the M20.
