Terror Arrest in Caddington: Man Held Over Suspicious Substances

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences following a police raid at a Caddington home. The probe began on May 6 when Bedfordshire Police found suspicious substances during a search at the property.

Initial searches at the address numbered 123, leading Bedfordshire Police to pass the case to the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command. On Tuesday, May 14, the man was detained under section 57 of the Terrorism Act 2000 for possession of articles for terrorist purposes. He remains in police custody.
