Woman in Critical Condition After Stabbing Herself in Neck with Scissors at Ibiza Airport

A British woman is fighting for her life after stabbing herself in front of horrified tourists at Ibiza Airport.

The 54-year-old woman used a pair of scissors she had purchased from an airport chemist to stab herself in the neck, shocking holidaymakers who witnessed the incident.

Initially, her condition was described as ‘serious but stable’ when she was rushed to Can Misses Hospital on the island. However, her condition has since worsened, and she is now in a critical state in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, received emergency treatment at the scene to stabilize her before being transported to the hospital just before midday.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing blood all over the floor of the busy airport terminal, just outside the chemist’s where the incident occurred. Police arrived quickly and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A worker at the chemist’s attempted to intervene. I tried to stop her, but it was difficult because she was a large woman,” the worker said.

Another witness described the chaotic scene: “There were other people in the chemist’s at the time. There was blood all over the floor outside before airport workers arrived to clean it once the woman had been taken away in an ambulance.

Authorities are still trying to determine whether the woman was travelling alone or with others, and what led her to harm herself. It is also unclear if she was about to board a flight.
