A 54-year-old British woman is fighting for her life after stabbing herself in front of stunned tourists at Ibiza Airport.
Horror at Busy Airport Chemist
The woman bought a pair of scissors from an airport chemist before injuring her neck, leaving blood splattered across the terminal floor. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as emergency services rushed to the spot just before midday.
“I tried to stop her, but it was difficult because she was a large woman,” said a chemist worker who attempted to intervene.
Other eyewitnesses reported seeing blood everywhere before airport staff cleaned the area after she was taken away by ambulance.
Condition Critical, Police Investigate
Initially listed as serious but stable, the woman’s condition has worsened, and she remains in intensive care at Can Misses Hospital on the island.
Authorities are probing the reasons behind her actions. It’s unclear if she was travelling alone or about to board a flight.
