Man in His 30s Dies After Seven Sisters Tube Stabbing
A man in his 30s has died a week after a brutal stabbing at Seven Sisters Tube station in London. The attack happened just before 9am on Tuesday, July 23. Despite emergency treatment, the victim succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, July 30.
Murder Probe Underway
The British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a murder investigation following his death. The victim was rushed to hospital with critical wounds but could not be saved.
Suspect Charged, Faces Updated Murder Charges
A 20-year-old man was previously charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon on July 28. With the victim’s death, police say these charges will be updated to reflect the new circumstances.
“Sadly today we can confirm the victim has died in hospital following the attack and we have launched a murder investigation. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they navigate their loss. We continue to provide support through specialist officers,” said T/Detective Superintendent Sam Blackburn of the BTP.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The BTP is working closely with the Crown Prosecution Service to revise charges against the accused. Detectives have renewed their appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
