Two Men Hurt in Suspected Brixton Shooting

Two men were rushed to hospital after a suspected shooting in Brixton in the early hours today. The Metropolitan Police were called to Loughborough Road near Overton Road at around 12:07am, where they found the victims with injuries.

One Man in Critical Condition

The men, aged 24 and 26, were taken to a local hospital. The 24-year-old remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The 26-year-old suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

Police Launch Major Investigation

The Met has launched an investigation and is exploring multiple lines of inquiry. So far, no arrests have been made.

Officers have sealed off Loughborough and Overton Roads in Brixton and increased their presence in the area. They are urging residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

“We are working to establish the full details of what occurred and whether this was indeed a shooting,” said a Met Police spokesperson. “We are committed to ensuring the safety of the Brixton community and have increased our presence as our investigation continues.”
