Murder Investigation Launched as Woman Dies from Severe Injuries in Rhyl

 

A 69-year-old woman has died from severe injuries in Rhyl, a seaside town in Wales, leading to a murder charge against a 33-year-old man. The victim was discovered on Thursday night at a property on Cefndy Road in Rhyl, Denbighshire.

Emergency services rushed the woman to the hospital, but she tragically succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival. The cause of her injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Dean Mark Albert Mears, 33, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has now been formally charged. He is scheduled to appear at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Additionally, a 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on bail.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Boycott expressed condolences, saying, “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this sad time, who are being supported by specialist police teams.” His Majesty’s Coroner has been informed of the incident.
