A collision between two double-decker buses near the junction of Rochdale Road and Livesey Street in Manchester left 17 people requiring hospital treatment on Saturday morning. The crash occurred around 8:34 a.m., with emergency response teams swiftly arriving at the scene.
The North West Ambulance Service dispatched nine ambulances, an air ambulance, two response vehicles, an advanced paramedic, and an operational commander to manage the situation.

Though none of the injuries were reported as serious, 17 passengers were taken to hospitals across Manchester, including seven who were transported on a bus accompanied by a paramedic.
Photos shared on social media showed extensive damage to the front of one of the buses involved in the collision.
The incident caused significant traffic disruptions in the area, with nearby roads including Sutton New Road, Reservoir Road, and Gravelly Hill North facing major delays as traffic was rerouted. Bus services also experienced delays and two routes were temporarily rerouted.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the collision.
