Two women have been charged with criminal damage following an incident inside Westminster Abbey, where a substance believed to be powdered paint was sprayed in an area of the historic site.
Suspects and Charges
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Alyson Lee, 66, of Park Grove, Derby, and Diane Bligh, 77, of Langham Place, Frome, have been charged in connection with the incident.
- Lee has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 11 February.
- Bligh is scheduled to appear in court on 12 February.

The women were arrested on Monday, 13 January, after allegedly spraying a powdered paint substance inside Westminster Abbey.
