Police Investigate Series of Knifepoint Robberies in Sheffield

 

Police are investigating a series of knifepoint robberies at convenience stores in Sheffield, with shop workers being threatened with a weapon during the incidents.

Incident Details

  • February 25, 3:00 AM – Londis Store, St Mary’s Road
    A male suspect entered the Londis store and requested two bottles of vodka. It is not yet confirmed whether he brandished a weapon, but police are treating the incident as linked to other recent robberies.
  • February 28, 7:40 AM – Thorougoods Convenience Store, City Road
    A male suspect entered the shop and stole multiple items. When confronted by a shop assistant, he threatened them with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Police Appeal for Information

South Yorkshire Police are urging the public to remain vigilant and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said:
“These incidents are deeply concerning, and we are working to identify the suspect as quickly as possible. We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or has CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage that may assist our investigation.
