Emergency Services Respond to Collision on A53 Leek Road in Endon

A major emergency response is underway following a serious collision on the A53 Leek Road through Endon, prompting authorities to shut the road in both directions this afternoon.

Police, paramedics, and uk/news/uk/Fire" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="fire" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="181511">fire crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:31pm, and road closures remain in place as investigations continue. One closure is reported to begin from Clay Lake, near Endon High School.

Traffic Disruption and Delays

The A53, one of North Staffordshire’s busiest roads, is experiencing significant traffic disruption, with slow-moving queues building in both directions.

Emergency Services on Scene

Photos from the scene show a large emergency presence, with multiple response vehicles from Staffordshire Police, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, and West Midlands Ambulance Service.

UKNIP has reached out to all three emergency services for further details on the nature of the collision and any potential injuries.

Public Appeal for Information

Police are urging any witnesses or motorists with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101.

Road Closure Updates

As of 3:31pm, the A53 remains fully closed while emergency services continue their work. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
