Brutal Boston robber jailed for three violent hold-ups in four days
Man targets elderly in shocking spree
Georgi Georgiev, 20, from Horace Street, Boston, has been locked up for four-and-a-half years at Lincoln Crown Court after admitting three violent robberies in just four days.
The thug’s victims included two elderly men and a younger man, all attacked in unprovoked incidents that rattled the local community.
Violence on quiet streets
- On 13 June 2024, Georgiev ambushed a 77-year-old man between Lister Way and Irby Street, grabbing his arm and snatching cash and jewellery.
- Just three days later, on 16 June, he feigned injury to lure a 71-year-old man, then shoved him to the ground, covered his mouth, and stole his wallet, phone, and keys.
- The victim suffered serious injuries, including trauma to his jaw, cheekbone, head, and even bite marks on his finger.
Third robbery leads to swift arrest
The very next day, 17 June, Georgiev targeted a 25-year-old walking along Witham Bank West around 1:10pm.
When the victim tried to walk off, Georgiev grabbed him, threw him down, and robbed his wallet, phone, and house keys.
Police caught Georgiev later that day at Boston Market Place. Crucially, he was still carrying items stolen during the latest attack.
Further investigation uncovered a local pawn shop where Georgiev had sold jewellery stolen during the first robbery.
Community breathes sigh of relief
Georgiev’s violent spree sparked outrage, especially due to his ruthless targeting of elderly victims.
The court sentenced him to four-and-a-half years behind bars.
A police spokesperson hailed the fast work by officers and urged residents to stay vigilant.
“These were violent and calculated attacks against vulnerable members of the public. We are pleased that justice has been served, and our community is safer as a result.”
