An 18-year-old man has been charged following a violent machete attack that took place on the Southend seafront last year. The incident, which occurred on July 30, 2024, involved a group of individuals brandishing weapons, causing panic among beachgoers.

Officers from Essex Police responded within minutes to reports of people armed with weapons at the seafront. Following the initial disturbance, eight males, including both adults and teenagers aged between 14 and 18, were arrested.
Charges Filed
Hamza Dinbil, 18, of Corporation Street, Stratford, has since been charged with violent disorder and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He is among the ten individuals who are set to appear in court in connection with the incident.
