Emergency crews raced to the 29-story building on Soi Chaiyapruek 3 after receiving reports at 8:06 p.m. The blaze swiftly forced residents and tourists to evacuate amid thick smoke and blaring alarms.
Blaze Traced to Faulty Air-Con in Room 1911
The fire ignited in Room 1911, causing chaos throughout the building. Firefighters battled the flames with water and chemical agents, bringing the situation under control quickly. Initial reports indicate the cause was an electrical short circuit linked to a malfunctioning air conditioner compressor.
The room’s occupant, a foreign tourist, had left the air conditioning running while stepping out on errands. Luckily, no one was hurt in the dramatic incident.
