Hayes Man Jailed for Life Over Shocking Child Rape and Attempted Rape in West London Parks
A 24-year-old man from Hayes has been locked up for life after a brutal Metropolitan Police probe uncovered his crimes involving the rape of a child and the attempted rape of a woman in two west London parks.
Life Sentence for Predator Navroop Singh
Navroop Singh, from Mellow Lane East, Hayes, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 14 years. He was convicted of five serious offences, including:
- Rape of a child under 13
- Possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit a crime in Ealing Park on 13 October 2024
- Rape of a young child in Hayes End Park, Hillingdon on 23 October 2024
How Police Nabbed Singh
A dedicated squad from the Metropolitan Police relentlessly pursued Singh. Officers increased patrols, distributed leaflets, and supported the victims in reporting the attacks. Their dogged work led to Singh’s arrest and subsequent conviction.

Acting Chief Superintendent Sean Lynch hailed the bravery of the victims and the police team, crediting their efforts with undoubtedly preventing further harm.
