Armed Robbery Attempt Foiled at Kingswood Takeaway

Knife-Wielding Thug Fails to Get Cash

Police are hunting a masked robber who tried to hold up a takeaway in Kingswood, near Maidstone, last Tuesday night. The drama unfolded around 9.30pm on 10 November at a shop on Cayser Drive.

The suspect threatened staff with a weapon, demanding they hand over cash from the till. But quick-thinking employees refused to open up. The would-be raider fled empty-handed towards Holly Tree Close.

Suspect Description: Young, Slim & Covered Head to Toe in Red

The man is described as white, aged 20 to 30, slim build. Witnesses say he was decked out in a red hoodie (hood up), matching trousers, gloves, and a red face mask — clearly trying to stay under the radar.

Cops Urge Locals & Drivers to Check Dashcams

Detective Inspector Darren Reynolds said: “We’re combing through CCTV and asking anyone who saw what happened to come forward. If you were driving through the area between 9pm and 10pm or have private CCTV or dashcam footage, please get in touch.”
