Woman and Child Targeted in Bexleyheath Bus Stop Hate Incident

At around 3.30pm on Monday, 31 August, a disturbing incident unfolded at a bus stop on Broadway, Bexleyheath.

Man Shouts Abuse, Mentions Muslims

A 35-year-old woman and her seven-year-old child were waiting for their bus when a man, described as white and in his late 50s, began acting erratically. He called out strange remarks, including hateful comments about Muslims.

Police Investigate as Possible Hate Crime

The woman and child were simply minding their own business when they faced this needless abuse in broad daylight. The event has since been reported to the police.

PC Natalie Kempshall, South East Safer Transport Team, said: “Anyone who recognises the man pictured is asked to contact us immediately.”
