West Ham Star Zouma Under Fire Over Cat Abuse Claims
The RSPCA is working with Essex Police after disturbing videos surfaced showing France international Kurt Zouma allegedly abusing two cats. West Ham confirmed the issue is being handled internally as outrage grows.
Cats Rescued and Under RSPCA Care
The innocent cats in question have been taken into RSPCA custody. A spokesperson said: “Our priority is and has always been the wellbeing of these cats.” Both animals have undergone veterinary checks and will remain in care while the investigation continues.
Petition Demands Action Against Zouma
Fans and animal rights activists launched a viral petition on Change.org calling for those responsible to be prosecuted. The petition, urging immediate removal of all animals from Zouma’s care, has gathered over 150,000 signatures.
“We were dealing with this issue before the video went viral online and are leading the investigation,” the RSPCA said. “We continue to investigate and cannot comment further at this time.”
Zouma has since issued an apology, but with public fury mounting, West Ham are under pressure to act swiftly.
