Brutal Bottle Attack in Southampton: Police Hunt Three Men
Police in Hampshire are urgently appealing for information after a vicious assault left a man with serious head injuries in Southampton.
Man Attacked with Glass Bottle
The attack happened on Lower Bannister Street on Wednesday, 2 March, between 10.50pm and 11.20pm. A man in his 50s was brutally assaulted by a trio of men wielding a glass bottle. Officers found a broken bottle at the scene.
The victim suffered a fractured skull and brain bleed, was rushed to Southampton General Hospital, and has now been discharged.
Police Release Images of Suspects
Investigators have since tracked multiple leads and now want to question three men seen near the scene at the time.
- Man 1: White, in his 20s, around 6ft tall, stocky build
- Men 2 & 3: White, in their 20s, slim build
Detective Rebecca Stevens said: “The victim had attended the Southampton vs West Ham football match before hitting the Giddy Bridge pub. We believe the suspects were also at the pub, and an altercation there may have sparked the attack.”
