Lambeth in Shock After Deadly Morning Shooting
Police launched a major investigation after two men were fatally shot on Railton Road, Lambeth, early Sunday morning. Officers were called at 7:50am following reports of gunfire in the SE24 area.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Firearms officers, the London Ambulance Service, and the Air Ambulance scrambled to the scene. Sadly, both men were found with critical injuries and pronounced dead at the scene despite frantic efforts to save them.
Identities Unknown, No Arrests Yet
The victims’ next of kin have yet to be informed. Formal identification and post-mortem examinations are pending. Police have closed several roads and sealed off multiple crime scenes in the area.
Residents can expect an increased police presence and are urged to come forward if they have any information. So far, no arrests have been made.
