Crash Horror in Barnet: Car Slams Into Tree and Lamp Post

Emergency services rushed to a bloody scene near Pinkham Way, Barnet, after a car careered off the road and smashed into a tree and lamp post at 12:37pm on Wednesday, 23 November.

Firefighters Cut Driver Free

The dramatic crash called out police, the London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance, and the London Fire Brigade. Firefighters had to cut open the mangled car to reach the trapped driver, a man in his 60s.

Driver Critical as Police Hunt Witnesses

The injured driver was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital in a critical condition. Officers are hunting for anyone who saw the smash or caught it on dashcam.
