Eight Celebs Brave Pitch-Black ‘Scared of The Dark’ Challenge
Eight famous faces are plunging into total darkness for a new Channel 4 reality show, Scared of The Dark. For eight days, they’ll live in complete pitch black inside The Bunker, a custom-built, light-proof space rigged with 50 infrared cameras to capture every moment.
Danny Dyer Hosts This Twisted Nighttime Test
Hosted by Danny Dyer, the celebs will face five nerve-wracking nights trapped in darkness. When one gets spooked, they can quit by shouting “I’m Scared of The Dark” to be led back into the light. But only one star will conquer their fears and claim victory.

Trust or Terror? The True Test of Fear
The celebs must survive a series of brutal challenges designed to push their primal fear of darkness to the limits. Those who slip up will face even tougher tasks to save themselves from early exit. Will the group bond in the dark, or will the creeping terror cause them to crack and beg for the lights?
Danny Dyer said: “This is possibly one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever done in my career, and I have done a lot of mad things. Throw in a bunch of celebs and make them do things with the lights off – it’s proper good telly. You’re gonna laugh, you’re gonna laugh some more and I promise you’re gonna love it.”
Dr Tharaka Gunarathne, clinical psychiatrist watching over the celebs, warned: “One of the hardest challenges the celebrities face is dealing with the unknown; their psychological sense of uncertainty is at an all-time high. When you can’t see, your brain fills in the blanks and often imagines the worst. When you switch off the lights your ability to stay safe is suddenly threatened and that is what makes this particularly frightening.”
