Man Allegedly Rapes Teen Girl in OMG Bar Toilet
Horrific attack rocked Victoria Street’s OMG bar on the evening of Monday, April 3. A man reportedly unlocked a toilet cubicle door and allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl inside.
After the assault, the suspect fled. An unknown woman stepped in to help the distressed victim.
Police Hunt Man in CCTV Images
Detectives launched a major investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and speaking with witnesses. They have now released images of a man who could hold key information.
Detective Inspector Leanne Toole said: “This was an absolutely abhorrent attack on a vulnerable teenage girl. Incidents like this are rare, but we are working hard to catch the offender and bring him to justice.”
“I urge the man in the images, or anyone recognising him, to come forward. He may have vital information for our investigation.”
“We also want to hear from the woman who helped the victim in the toilet. She could be crucial to the case.”
“Supporting victims of sexual assault is critical. If you have suffered abuse, please report it. We will treat you with care and thoroughly investigate every report.”
