Man Charged After Shard End Stabbing as Gun and Ammo Seized
West Midlands Police have charged a man with firearm and ammunition possession following a stabbing in Shard End. The investigation is ongoing as officers piece together what sparked the violent attack.
22-Year-Old Arrested After Victim Found Stabbed
Syed Kashaff, 22, was arrested on Wednesday after a 27-year-old man was found stabbed outside a Heath Way shop on Monday. The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Firearm Seized, Suspect to Appear in Birmingham Court
Kashaff was formally charged yesterday and is set to appear before Birmingham magistrates today. Police recovered a firearm and ammunition during searches, escalating the severity of the charges.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“We are continuing our investigation to establish the details around what happened,” said Detective Inspector Tom Lyons from the Major Crime Unit. “CCTV enquiries are ongoing and we are speaking with a number of witnesses. I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.”
