A TV actor known for his role on EastEnders was arrested last Sunday, April 23, near Upper Holloway in Islington. The 56-year-old was picked up on suspicion of sexual communication with a child.
EastEnders Star Busted Over Child Sex Offence
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest came at an address near Elthorne Road, N19. The man was taken into custody before being released on bail. He must report back to police in late June as investigations continue.
Serious Charges Laid
The alleged crime involves sexual communication with a child, a serious offence under Section 15A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Conviction can carry up to two years behind bars and means automatic registration on the Sex Offenders Register.
Investigation Still Ongoing
A police spokeswoman said: “He was taken into custody and has since been bailed pending further investigations to a date in late June. The investigation into the circumstances is still ongoing.”
